LESSON FROM HIGHLAND TOWER
The incident of Highland Tower collapse should be taken as a lesson to everyone so that they do not only depend on technology until they forget about their own creator, Allah S.W.T. In addition, developing the building at the inappropriate place can contribute to this kind of incident to happen again in the future. Those who have the intention to buy a house should check whether the place that they want to stay is definite safe in terms of environment, structure of building and the credible developers. Other than that, people should follow the rules of Islam and avoid from doing sin. Do remember that Allah S.W.T is always looking at us and we cannot hide from Him. As for developers, they should be responsible towards the safety of residents and do not only think about the profit. Every party should play their role in order to make sure that this kind of incident will not happen again in the future.
HAUNTED PLACE
Highland Tower now become one of the haunted places in Malaysia as some of the body was still buried under the rubble. Highland tower is not resident for 20 years, including 2 blocks near to it. Since some of the body was not found, many people had experienced horror situation that has to do with the highland tower itself. One of the stories is about a taxi driver and a mystery woman. In the middle of the night, he sent a woman to the Taman Hill View, Highland Tower. He was grateful that the place was located near to his residential area. He did not remember that the place collapse and nobody live there anymore. About 10 minutes after that, he just realized about the incident of Highland Tower, he felt something was just not right so he decided to ask the woman. “Are you living there?” The woman answered 30 seconds after that, “When the condominium collapse, I was in there, and I lose my legs. Look at my legs, my legs maimed and bleeding". The taxi driver looked at the back seat and he was shocked because the woman’s legs were maimed and bleeding. His knees became weak; he could not able to press the pedal. He only able to look at her, stayed still when the woman opened the door, and crawling towards the rubble of the building until she disappeared from his eyes.

SPECULATION OF THE INCIDENT
From the incident of the Highland Tower collapse which had killed 48 peoples, many people has provoked much speculation regarding the incident. In the perspective of Islam, people believe that the tragedy happened because of the prohibited activities like vice that happened in the block. There was a maid from Indonesia who had an employer at block 1 but she lived at block 2 or 3, she said that she saw two pious people in white cloak shake and pushed the condominium before the condominium collapse. Other than that, she also said that she heard the Quran verses at the block 1 when it collapse.

Random stranger Madam Fatimah, she said that this is the punishment that Allah S.W.T gives as there was a lot of vices happened in there. There was a lot of mistress of VIP were kept there. Before the collapse, it was believed that there was a person in white cloak walk around the block, and after that the block collapsed unexpectedly. The security guard there said that, every night he will see some of the residents came home drunk. The most distressing is that most of them were Muslim, the security guard cannot do anything accept for just looking as he was only a guard.
HOW IT COLLAPSE ?
How the condominium collapse? Every year in Malaysia, monsoon season will happen from November until Disember which brings to flood, flash floods and landslide to occur. Due to nonstop raining of 10 days, the landslide had occurred which caused the retain wall at the condominium parking collapse, and one of the blocks Highland Tower collapse after that. Geotechnical consultant, Prof Noel Edward Simons put the blame on the design of retaining walls which was not perfectly built. This shows how developers of the place, Highland Tower, careless about the safety of the condominium residents as they only think about the profit that they gain. As people know, trees can absorb water, however when there is no plants, water will be thoroughly flow which contribute to landslide and the building on it to collapse.

HIGHLAND TOWER
Highland Tower incident collapse now remains in the memories of everyone because it is one of the worst incidents that have taken place in Malaysia. The incident happened on 11 Disember 1993, where one of the three 12-storey blocks of condominium at Taman Hillview, Ulu Klang, Selangor had collapse. The tragedy of collapse killed 48 people and only 2 persons survived from the incident which was a maid, Umi Rashidah and her 16 months old daughter, Nur Hamidah.

On the respective day, both of them were rescued, there was a woman from Japan, Shizue Nakajima was also survived and she was found under the rubble in a weak condition. However, on the second day of searching operation, all of the rescue team was shocked with the news that she died at the hospital due to serious injuries and she unluckily cannot be saved. Even though all of them felt sad, they still continued the process of searching the victims. 7 days of searching, they decided to stop the operation as they already lose hope and all of them started to use the heavy machinery to find the died body.
